I'm a working writer; that is, I write every day and have written several books.
The newest book is Back Again to Me, a novel about adoption. Prior to that, I wrote three books in two years--and I don't recommend that! They are Talking Your Way to the Top: Business English that Works (Prometheus Books 2006); A Love for Learning: Motivation and the Gifted Child (with Carol Strip Whitney, Ph.D.)(Great Potential Press, 2007), and The Complete Idiot's Guide to Difficult Conversations (Alpha Books, September 2007).
I also like to help other writers try to achieve their dreams, so I work as a book doctor/independent editor as well.
You can find out all about that part of my life at www.midwestbookdocs.com.
You'll also find several of my articles at www. ezinearticles.com and I occasionally blog at amazon.com, too. But my blogspot blogs--write better now and gretchen's writing life--are far and away the most active.
I'll be speaking at the monthly meeting of the Central Ohio Fiction Writers on 18 April 2009 at 2-4 pm. The topic is one of my favorites: Time Management for Real Writers. I try to make it fun, with some interactive elements. I always have a good time, and the audiences seem to get something from it, too. I'm not sure where this particular meeting will be held. They're usually in area libraries, but I don't know which one yet. When I know, you'll know, and if you're a member or guest, I'm looking forward to meeting you there.
